Several meditation caves surround the monastery, once used by revered Tibetan saints and yogis.
A shorter Kora around the monastery includes sacred landmarks like the “Sky Burial Site” and foot imprints of spiritual masters.
Approximately 70 kilometers west of Mount Kailas, near the Sutlej River in the Ngari Prefecture of Tibet.
Can be reached via road from Darchen (the base town for Mount Kailas), usually part of Kailas-Manasarovar Yathra itineraries.
