The Mystic Shivalik Badaree Kedara Yathra is a profound spiritual journey that takes pilgrims through the sacred land of the Himalayas. The journey begins with a visit to Haridwar, where pilgrims take a holy dip in the sacred Ganges River. From here, the tour proceeds to Rishikesh, also known as the “Yoga Capital of the World,” offering a serene environment for meditation and spiritual rejuvenation. Both cities lay the perfect foundation for the upcoming journey into the divine mountains.
Continuing the pilgrimage, travelers make their way to Badarinath and Kedarnath, two of the Char Dham shrines. These sacred temples are dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, offering a connection to the divine like no other. Thunganath and Kapleshwar are other important stops, known for their ancient temples and breathtaking natural beauty. These spiritual places provide peace and tranquility amidst the towering peaks of the Shivalik range.
The tour also includes visits to Joshimath and Vasishtaguha, famous for their historical and spiritual significance. Joshimath, perched on the banks of the Alaknanda River, is considered a major center for Advaita Vedanta teachings. Vasishtaguha is believed to be the meditation spot of the revered sage, Vasishta, offering a powerful spiritual experience. The pilgrimage concludes at the sacred Pancha Prayaga, where five important confluences of rivers are revered, symbolizing the spiritual union of rivers and mountains.
